MILESTONES
2001
Started a daycare at Lebak Jaya 2 No 49 (Taman Asuh Anak Terpadu /TAAT)
2003
Started Playgroup at Lebak Jaya 2 No 49
As the children at our daycare grew up, they need a good education. Receiving a vision from God about the future generation and the support from the parents, we started Tunas Bangsa Playgroup (our first name)
2004
Tunas Bangsa to Tunas Bangsa Ceria
By the instruction from the Education Authorities, we have to change our name because Tunas Bangsa already registered by other foundation in Jakarta. God gave us the name Ceria that means “Cerdas, Rajin, dan Setia”
June 2009, God gave us a vision for higher level education (Elementary and Secondary Level), also the Bible Verses and slogan for each level)
Also receiving God’s promise about torchbearer and a bigger place at a main street located in East Surabaya.
2010
Started Elementary at Lebak Jaya 2 Tengah 46
2012
Moving to our new Bulding (Kenjeran 440)
God’s Amazing grace brought us to a new larger building that was prepared for the secondary level also as God’s given vision that we worked for wholeheartedly.
2016
Started Lower Secondary Level and PKBM
As the vision received and our first Generation of students graduated from our elementary school, we started the Lower Secondary Level at the same building. We also established PKBM (Pusat Kegiatan Belajar Masyarakat) to provide education for needed people.
2019
Started Upper Secondary Level
As the vision received and our first Generation of students graduated from our lower secondary school, we started the Upper Secondary Level at the same building.
TODAY
With more than 600 students , we continue to walk through the path that He has trusted us. Hands in hands, we believe with strong vision, faith, wisdom, willingness and working with His heart, He will enable us to fulfil our destiny as the torchbearer for this city, nation, and also nations. That our students will grow and shine in His loving grace as the slogan “Born to Shine”
